Day 1: What is pressure?

1. Pressure is the amount of force exerted per unit of surface area.
2. Pressure always decreases vertically with height.
3. A small height change at low levels, results in a large pressure change
4. Air pressure is exerted equally in all directions.
5. Horizontal pressure changes are small relative to vertical pressure changes

Pressure is the amount of force acting on an area. It decreases significantly with changes in height and minimally horizontally

Whizzkid Section

1. Exerted air pressure is directly proportional to the amount of air particles, this is the gas law.
2. Surface pressure is the pressure observed at a particular location.
3. Sea level pressure is the pressure that would exist if the observation point were at sea level.
